Hey dudebros, I'm creating a slowcore playlist on Spotify and want some slowcore song recs. I know Red House Painters/Sun Kil Moon/Mark Kozelek/2013's most productive musician, Low, Codeine, Bedhead, The For Carnation, Galaxie 500 (meh, might as well include them), some American Music Club, some Carissa's Weird, and some Blue Tile Lounge, but recs within these groups and especially without are greatly appreciated.
Also, I think we'd agree genre lines are blurry, so also feel free to discuss whether acts like Mazzy Star, Morphine, Lisa Germano, etc. might qualify as slowcore. Think of this as a general slowcore thread, leaning towards recommending your favorite slowcore songs. Really looking for meccalecca, CellarDoor, Norman Bates, and Saiorse to step up here.
There was a thread for this back in '09, but it's closed now.

I don't know what the hell slowcore is, but it makes me think of Black Flag's "My War"; might as well check that out, just cos its so damn cool anyways.
Stratosphere and contemporary movement are both incredible albums and I cant recommend them enough. Their music just seems to stand out much more then any other slowcore band i have listened to (although im not really that well versed in slowcore) _________________ Alt Right meme game on point
I FEEL DISCRIMINATED AGAINST AS A PERSON OF JUDGEMENT.
Here's my own little comp I came up with a few months ago :
1. Galaxie 500 - Blue Thunder
2. American Music Club - Laughing Stock
3. Codeine - Pickup Song
4. Bark Psychosis - All Different Things
5. Cowboy Junkies - I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry
6. Low - Words
7. Lisa Germano - Cry Wolf
8. Smog - To Be of Use
9. Red House Painters - Katy Song
10. Mazzy Star - Fade Into You
11. Idaho - Stare at the Sky
12. Seam - Broken Bones
13. Bedhead - Beside Table
14. The Black Heart Procession - Your Church Is Red
15. Bonnie 'Prince' Billy - I See A Darkness
So yeah, the usual suspects, but I've listened to it quite often...
Americana, alt-country, aren't far off slowcore, so you could also dig in that direction.
Or some lo-fi like Sparklehorse. _________________ I'll be your plastic toy.
