I'm beginning to feel overwhelmed by the amount of albums that I haven't yet listened. I want to buy more albums so badly, but I've been buying more than usual lately and it's beginning to add up. I want to buy more albums from 2013, but then I want to buy more hip-hop and jazz albums because I only own one album in those respective genres. At the same time, I feel that it's my obligation to own all of the albums in the site's top 100, which I don't. I also feel that if I actually got all of the albums that I wanted, I wouldn't have enough time to listen to all of them. You guys seem to be buying so many albums left and right. Honestly, how do you do it? I really need help with this. I'm literally losing sleep. Went to sleep at 3:00 AM last night. Anybody know how I can buy more albums without losing so much time and money? I really need your help. Any suggestions will be greatly, greatly appreciated.

I don't buy that many albums, to be honest, I just stream a lot from Spotify and YouTube. I can see why you would feel obligated to own your favorite albums, but why the BEA top 100?

I want to listen to all of the albums in the BEA top 100 to see what they're like. I make sure to always buy all of my albums. I don't use Spotify, and I don't use YouTube for music.

Thom Yorke would be proud. Sucks for you, though.

I think I'm gonna just start listening to albums on YouTube. God, I'm an idiot. This thread didn't even need to be made.

I'd suggest stopping that. It's admirable enough, but unless you have rich parents or you somehow already have a job that pays a steady income, you're never going to listen to much music this way. What I do is listen to as much music as I can online and then buy the stuff I like as soon as I can afford it. That's what I'd want people to do with my music if I were a recording artist, anyhow.

This, pretty much. I freely download everything I want to hear, and pay for the stuff I really enjoy when I can afford it (independent stuff, anyway - don't really give a shit about putting more money into Beyonce's pockets).

I don't try to compete with the others on here anymore. I don't even have opinions anymore. Any music I could find will have already been found or dismissed as not needed. I feel happy though. ๐Ÿคฃ

This is exactly how I'm always thinking. Sure, there's great music out there, but I just want to find ONE album that no one has heard or listened to. That way it can be extremely personal to me and have more importance to me as a person. Why bother trying to compete with these guys if I'm never going to find that album?
