I like the idea of going to a big haunted house. Like mansion size haunted house. Just to explore. Find puzzles and hide amongst all the untouched book shelves and artifacts. Something with a history would be wonderful. A dark night and rain outside. All scary like. I do enjoy being scared at times. Only sometimes though. It depends.

How do people feel about haunted houses? 😄

I love haunted houses. I love Halloween. It's the second happiest time of the year for me (next to Christmas, obvs).

And this one too. (It's a different one)

Theres an old abandonded hospital near me but now most people know about it so theres cops that keep constant patrol over it. Lots of druggies live there I guess too. We went a couple times but all the doors and windows are boarded shut and then someone called the cops so we scattered.

There was also an old abandoned farm house not far from where I live that me and my friends went to a few times. It was this creepy tall and long building with a barn, old school bus, and a few other small buildings. The house itself had a pitch black cellar with the classic "door going into the ground" type deal. The stairs leading to the top floor were completely caved in but you could still climb up which was where the bedrooms were. There was a pink room with a small cradle in it. Classic ghost movie eh. The whole place was crawling with coyotes and there were a bunch of dead ones just lying on the floors of the buildings. One was cleanly decapitated somehow.

And then we went back to it one day everything was burned to the ground. Remnants of the house and buildings but nothing explorable. Abandoned buildings are cool as heck.

Don't believe in ghosts - so don't think there is any such thing as a haunted house!

Sorry!

Then how do you explain that door that sometimes moves or those creeking sounds at night?

Love haunted houses.

I kind of wish I lived in a city with a greater history of hauntings. Saw Spiritualized in an old haunted church on Sunday. there was a nice energy to the place.

Old mental asylums are some of the creepiest places on earth.

I grew up relatively close to this one called Letchworth Village. I've never been there, but it's got one of the worst/most horrifying back stories I've ever heard.

How could anyone not believe in ghosts? it's like not believing in aliens.

The wind, the cat or the drunken husband returning from the pub... possibly even a minor earthquake! But never a ghost

If ghosts existed then every house and village and town and city... everywhere in fact would be haunted... because people die everywhere often under horrific or traumatic circumstances. Yet strangely the only places that people think are haunted are 'creepy' dark Victorian houses, ancient castles, pubs and parks (funny how many pubs patrons have supposedly seen ghosts at closing time... 🙄 ) or villages with some 'grisly' past... I'm sniffing the air and it smells a lot like cows to me! 😁

EDIT: Google search kind of proves my point...

Given the almost infinite size of the universe, I would say that aliens are a probability even though that has yet to be proven and noone has encountered any.

But ghosts... boogety boogety stories to boost tourism or to thrill and frighten the gullible!
