- Post subject: Need Some iTunes Help!
|
My itunes (which I just finished loading 22000+ songs into) is acting up. I need to see if anyone here is proficient enough to help me with my problem. Please keep in mind that I am an old fuck, and you may have to walk me through this slowly.
Any help with this would be GREATLY appreciated!
I am getting the following message when trying to play a song or when trying to import a CD:
"The iTunes library cannot be saved. An unknown error occurred (-69)."
I am on a Windows PC, and my music files are on a 2TB removable drive. I have tried what I know, and the Apple help forums have been like trying to read French (no offfense, Norman).
Thanks! _________________ I'm leaning on the threshold

My PC hard drive and my portable drive are both only half full each. _________________ I'm leaning on the threshold

This is what I thought when I read it, I've definitely had this message before and it was to do with my hard drive being too full, moved some stuff onto a portable and it sorted out.
If they're both half full then I've no idea, sorry, but it's possibly an issue with space somehow, maybe. _________________ Shut up mate you're boring!

Doubt this is the case considering he's using a 2TB hard drive, I'm using a 1TB hard drive with 20,000 songs and my iTunes works perfect (And I don't even have the newest update).
I have had a similar problem on my old laptop a few years back, which was at the time solved by uninstalling and then re-installing iTunes, then re-adding everything (But that's a pain in ass, time consuming and may not actually be the problem in this case...).
There may be some better help here however. _________________

Go into your control panel, look for iTunes, and then uninstall it.
Then never install it again, go to the internet and download Foobar or WinAMP.
Then import your songs into one of those

Earlier I was about to post something along the lines of this, but then I thought "That's kind of dickish". Glad someone said it

Thanks...I'm sure that there is helpful info there...but their directions seem half assed to me (remember that I'm old and stupid!). I pretty much need someone who can walk me through a process. _________________ I'm leaning on the threshold

Yeah...I've gotten this advice a lot. I was using another player, and it ended up wiping out everything and I had to start over. I figured iTunes couldn't be THAT bad...I've been back on it for 1 month.

Oh Ok, fair enough. Which program was it? Just out of curiosity. As for the actual problem at hand, I'm not really sure what to do I have about the same amount of songs in the library (just a bit less), but I'll see if anything happens when I import them into iTunes.
And yes MrFrogger I said it for you.
