Nas. I can only take so much Bush frankly, although a greatest Kate Bush hits record is a nice listen. But Illmatic alone surpasses everything she's done imo.
Difficult. I don't think Bush has ever done anything that touches Illmatic, but she has had a fantastic career and released some truly great records (and she has certainly never released anything as lacklustre - or downright terrible, to be honest - as I Am... or Hip-Hop Is Dead). That said, people often forget Nas has some other dope albums, namely The Lost Tapes, Stillmatic, God's Son, Life Is Good (granted, none of them come close to Illmatic but then very little does). Gonna say Nas because I genuinely just prefer his music on the whole, but to see either of these artists fall at the first hurdle will be a shame.

Both are undeniably great and highly influential. My vote goes to Kate Bush for changing rock music for women. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com
Agreed with the fact that Bush hasn't done anything as good as Illmatic. However, she has released three absolute masterpieces : her debut, The Dreaming and Hounds Of Love. My vote might be a little (if not completely) unfair, given the fact that I've listened to, like, 6 or 7 Kate Bush albums, and only one Nas album, but based on those listens, Bush wins for her consistency. She's losing anyway, so why not. But yeah, shame that so amazing artists have to face each other so early, etc, etc.
Not really sure why everyone is knocking the consistency of Kate Bush. Sure there's a few albums that stand well beyond the others but I think everything she's done has been very good. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com
