Just listened to this earlier. A masterpiece. One of those albums that never gets old. It's always original no matter how many times I come back to it. Easily one of the best progressive rock albums. Ever. EVER.

I don't listen to it as much as I used to. I should give it a re-listen, there's bound to be something I didn't notice beforehand.

The album that got me into prog.... I remember being blown away by how much meaning ITCOTCK conveyed when I heard the album titled song in "Children of Men." A masterpiece of an album.

I haven't listened to this in a long time, but I associate it with being stripped of anything human - just the sound of musicians playing technically good music, it just feels a little bit nerdy? I need to hear it again, though.

Sounds like the kind of criticism of progressive rock I could completely follow... except in the case of this one. What you're trying to say there is a bit overgeneralising. This album is not the "complex for the sake of being complex" kind of progressive rock bar maybe "Moonchild", but even that song is very mood-oriented as opposed to a place to show off technical skills. From what I know, it's compositionally simpler than later prog albums and with a more symphonic, atmospheric sound. You definitely need to give it another chance!

Remarkable, although I have my difficulties sith "...Schizoid...".

"I Talk to the Wind" and "Epitaph" are stellar.
