Going for my daily run tomorrow morning. Normally put together a playlist - thought I'd mix it up a bit.

What do YOU run to, BEA (or, alternatively, what WOULD you to if you left the house)?

Any music that has a hard rhythm- mostly metal/hardcore and proper electronic music does the trick for me.

I used to have playlists but now I just generally pick a band when I'm at the gym.

Some recurring favorites are:

LCD Soundsystem
Parliament/Funkadelic
Girl Talk
Rage Against the Machine
Fucked Up
High On Fire

(will add more as I think of them)

My choices depend on how fast I'm running. 8x 400m needs something a bit faster, maybe angrier than a six mile run. The Chemical Brothers are hard to wrong with, especially for the longer runs.

This one is on my shuffle:

Whenever I find an extremely catchy song I can get into, I usually run to that song for about a week or 2. Besides that:
Most Elephant 6 collective stuff
Fast paced trip-hop
New Age Classical such as Michael Daugherty
Twee if I feel in the mood for it
Surf Rock
Some good screamo/metalcore such as Suffocate For Fuck Sake and Converge
I always skip to the final part of Good Morning, Captain by Slint because it pumps me up (I MIIISSSSS YOOOOOOOUUUUU)
Noise Rock like Health, Thee Oh Sees, and Lightning Bolt
and Instrumental hip-hop

These are only the one's to come to mind right now though Brick wall

EDIT: oh yeah and a shitload of breakcore

I don't run. I'm allergic to sport.
