Hally's version of 'House Of The Rising Sun' inspired Dave Van Ronk to give the lyrics a new musical arrangement - one that was copied by Dylan on his debut 1962 album. It was Dylan's copy of Van Ronk's arrangement that 'The Animals' took to create the ultimate version of the song - by taking Van Ronk's/Dylan's chord sequence and playing it as arpeggio.
