"Really good album by Peggy Lee. 10’ Decca vinyl is good, but the same 10’ Brunswick is superb. Anyway both has good points and bad points, you should listen both and enjoy those differences." Reply

"I've yet to hear a mediocre recording from The Duke, but this one is something special. It's more energetic and adventurous than his work with the Blanton-Webster band. There are a lot of great tracks, but I especially enjoyed "A Tone Parallel to Harlem."" Reply

"A really nice album by the chanson master. The only thing that fails to me is that sometimes it gets a bit repetitive, and maybe that's because of my terrible french. This, probably makes it difficult to fully appreciate the songs." Reply

"This album always impresses me. I don't think anyone in 1953 was writing and performing satire songs about the dirty south, drug dealers, cannibalism, and love beyond death. This album is true delight for anyone looking for music that is left-of-center and witty and dry. If this isn't influential..." [More] Reply

"Well this was a lot of fun! It feels like lots of noises made with mouths. Or perhaps birds turned into people or bird people or something else as equally frigtening." Reply
