Too Much Scatting, not my cup of tea this time. Otherwise very good, but quite pedestrian in some sense.
Good but the scatting gets a bit annoying, but the absolutely brilliant version of, Angel eyes, is worth the price of admission alone. Although, I'd rather hear a sax or a trumpet instead of Ella's vocal improvisations, it's still good if you can get past them.
A pretty good vocal jazz album. Fitzgerald shows off some impressive and interesting vocal ability throughout accompanied by fitting and entertaining instrumentation.
