Originally released posthumously on Savoy Records in 1955 (Cat#: MG-12014), it contains selections recorded in six sessions between 1944 and 1948 and released on other mediums like 78rpm records, etc. There are rampant discussions regarding who may be the supporting players on each selection. Miles Davis is known to play trumpet on some of the tracks, with Max Roach on drums throughout most of the selections. Dizzy Gillespie is responsible for writing and performing on "Dizzy Boogie". The version I have on hand is a Japanese Re-issue (Cat#: Savoy Jazz ‎– CY 78991) in a cardboard sleeve with minimal liner notes. Authenticated on discogs.com
