"Total Freedom" is a lot like a remix album. The record primarily consists of reframing ideas from a previous work in a new light. Positively, she efficiently and interestingly takes from "Rodeo Star" and gives it a bright twist. Recognizing samples or sounds is a fun suprise. Negatively, it feels a bit creatively limiting. We hear the old new but not any new new. A pleasure suprise that doesn't really move her discography forward.
