On March 20, BTS released their fifth studio album, titled Arirang. This is the group's first full-length release in three years and nine months. The group's previous album, Proof, was released in June 2022. This is the first collaboration between all seven members since they completed their mandatory military service.
The album's title is a reference to a famous Korean folk song, often referred to as the unofficial national anthem. According to BigHit Music, the album reflects the group's identity and the deep emotions of the members. The album features 14 tracks, including the title track, Swim.
