Heavy... and unmistakably Khemmis.
Shorter average track lenghts means it is not their most complex collection of songs.
It is a little more "punchy" than their previous LP's.
That being said, the dark story telling and bone crushing riffs remain just as strong.
There are also more harmonies.
The vocal performances on beneath the scythe, Gilded Chambers are some of Phil Pendergast's best.
Invocation of the Dreamer is an amazing opener.
As per tradition, the album's closer "Benediction Tomes" is the tracklist's ultimate banger.
