Top 100 Greatest Music Albums ratings

Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a mean average rating of 74.0/100. The trimmed mean (excluding outliers) is 76.6/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 14.5.

I think calling your taste 'semi-horrible' seems a tad unfair to yourself; sure there's a few albums here that I wouldn't call my kind of thing, but your eclectic mix of pop and rock can at least said to give your chart the sense that what I am looking at is authentically you. And if you do feel that some people might call a few of these albums horrible, then tell us why we've got them all wrong!! Some notes explaining why you think Panic! At The Disco deserves a spot on this chart sidled up next to The Beatles and Nirvana could be a really interesting perspective on them, so tell it!
I really like some of them, some of them really not, but that's fine with me. Keep listening and exploring
No, just no. Goes downhill after number 1.
Lots of nice albums, some I don't like very much. It lacks some more obscure choices I think, also descriptions would be nice. Try Ride the Lightning if you like Metallica, it'll blow Black Album away from that place in top 10 :)
The only problem I really have is Illuminate (even though I like Handwritten), but alot of my favorite albums ever is included. Good chart, bro - and from my perspective, you do not have semi-horrible taste.
Some really odd, cheesy pop albums scattered amongst a collection of well-established classics but hey that's the point of this site, for people to be honest about their music taste. Your charts all the better for it!
Lot´s of good picks, some I don´t like.
A good chart a nice mixture of all types of music from the past and present. I know it is difficult to keep compilations/best of albums out of your chart but try and concentrate on studio albums, people seem to prefer that.
Good chart. Many people will hate on those compilation albums though. Usually its best to keep them out of a chart (although I have 2 in mine).
