You will not find many albums here. The cor of my listening enjoyment is in my sixties, seventies and eighties charts. For the last 15 years I have only bought vinyl, I consider this to be best playing medium (when it is looked after). The tactility of an album cover with inner sleeve notes is part of the whole experience.

Pop the Bee Gees, The Beach Boys and Supertramp in a mixer, add a sprinkling of musicals magic. This is what you get, 10cc. For anyone wanting to dip their toe into 10cc, this is a good start. Parts of 10cc stray into progressive territory, other parts into pop cheese.

All credit to Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill, that they can still turn out albums like this some forty years after their heyday is quite an achievement. The album has quite a laid back upbeat feel to it. According to the sleeve notes, most of the instruments were recorded by Charlie Burchill. Berenice (an excellent keyboard player) is featured in photos but gets no mention in sleevenotes. Cherisse only gets a mention on three tracks. So in my mind, this is more a Jim and Charlie album, which is fine, but is does lack the energy of Walk Between Worlds Worlds or Big Music.

I had already made the decision not to buy this, don't really know why as I hadn't heard it. The decision was taken away from me when it was bought for me for a Christmas present. It sounds much more like a SW solo effort and the two misssing members are noticed. It is good but not in the league of previous work in my opinion. Perhaps I need to give it a few more listens...
