"I agree that it is the same song over and over for an hour, but goddamn is it a fucking great song. There's not a ton of dynamic range, but Callahan finds new layers and ideas track after track. If you want a beautiful, poignant folk epic, this one doesn't disappoint."  Reply

"Sound & Fury is obviously a huge shift for Sturgill Simpson. Its sort of a throwback record to 80s rock, but there are some other elements in there too. Good album to play loud. "Outstanding dark, gothic album with great riffs and wicked lyrics. I wouldn't have though Jim Steinman and Sisters of Mercy made for a good marriage, but the two Steinman-penned songs, More and When You Don't See Me, come across perfectly.
