Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

This track is rated in the top 21% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 77.5/100, a mean average of 77.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 77.6/100. The standard deviation for this track is 13.2.

There’s a lot of playing to their strengths here: Ringo’s drumming is particularly strong, the dual lead is McCartney singing high with Lennon almost just talking along with him until he breaks out & takes over the lead & Paul falls back into the harmony with George, and the harmonica adds a sense of wistfulness that helps this track to stand out among the others on this album. This one is a real gem that deserves more attention.

This song changed my view on the Beatles, because it was the first early Beatles song I ever heard that wasn't from the 1 album, which I assumed were all sub-par and worthless. I was astonished at how melodic /all/ their songs were, not just the hits. I couldn't stop playing this song for days!

One of the best of the Lennon-McCartney songs on Please please me. Interesting structure and delivery help to make it a very enjoyable two minutes.

Tragically overlooked. One of the best early songs by Fab Four.
