Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 88.2/100, a mean average of 87.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 88.4/100. The standard deviation for this track is 12.8.

John gives it all on this track. Plus the guitars and backgrounds vocals are incredibly tasteful! One of the highlights of the album, no doubt!
Lennon at his best. Love that vocal. One of the great early Beatles' tracks.
The thrilling closer to the Please Please Me album, ‘Twist And Shout’ showcased The Beatles at their primal, glorious, rock ‘n’ roll best. While I understand that this is a cover of a song performed by the Top Notes in 1961 and the Isley Brothers the following year, the Beatles manage to nail this one in every conceivable way and make it their own in a way that very few artists can. What a perfect way to close out an album.

Umas das melhores versões de todos os tempos. Os Beatles transformaram essa música em uma música deles.
What a tune! I hear this all the time at uni flat parties, it makes me happy haha. Always love to hear this one
There is no doubt that this is the ultimate version of this classic song. Recorded at the end of the mammoth session to record the final ten tracks for their debut album, please please me, the Beatles, especially John Lennon, give everything they have left to produce an absolutely blinding and definitive version of this track. What a way to end your first album. It's Rocking good stuff.
Great cover.
This might be my favourite of The Beatles' cover songs.

An ultimate rocker. Lennon's extreme health condition (sore throat) produced a game-changing performance. You can't seriously think anyone could sing it better. 10/10.
Possibly the best early Beatles recording. John's vocals, which apparently he recorded at the end of a marathon recording session while still experiencing the lingering effects of a cold, just blow me away. That and it was perfect in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
