It’s insane how much life the Eagles can suck out of a great track.

A great leadoff track for the debut album of Tom Waits' long and legendary musical career. The song opens, over a folky guitar, "Well, my time went so quickly / I went lickety-splitly / Out to my ol' 55." What a fantastic opening statement for an album that leans so heavily on nostalgia. Just a wonderful song.
Talk about comforting, this has that Southern charm that I love.
