Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 92.0/100, a mean average of 90.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 92.4/100. The standard deviation for this track is 14.7.

This charming version.
I still prefer the single one for its energy but this is beautiful too.
The Smiths were firmly 80s jangle pop, but they also had a real sense of 50s rock and roll melody and the sort.
I definitely prefer the single, which is faster paced and starts and stops in a way that conveys great energy. This is still pretty nice, though.
A gorgeous pop song. It's one of the few songs I never forget how to play on guitar.
I can't tell which I prefer more the one found in Hatful of Hallow or the Single version. Anyway fantastic song that is a good example of Johnny Marr's guitar playing
Just about the most perfect song ever made. Gorgeous riff, brilliantly well paced and cracking lyrics.
