This is the epitome of what doesn't work about this band. The song is supposed to be sweet and heartfelt but it just seems shallow and self-absorbed. The song is written for the singer's future child who he plans on naming Winter, well half of it is. Half is about hoping his child has a good life even if people make fun of his name and stuff like that. The other half is about how he has to find a wife first and how he's scared about it. It feels strange. Two seemingly conflicting sentiments of lifting up his kid but also he's depressed because he doesn't think he can find a wife. I feel like the kid would be uncomfortable listening to this.
