Brilliant song, love how he transformed Dido's optimistic catchy pop song into a twisted story of obsessed fans. Everything from the lyrics to the flow to the beat is executed perfectly.

OMG, Stan is the best rap song I've ever listened to in terms of quality, I imagine the verses each time I'm listening to the song lol. I don't think any rap song can ever match this.
This is definitely one of the best rap songs ever made. The phrase “being a Stan” has had a cultural impact for nearly 2 decades (which is hard to believe). This song is timeless and from a time where not every rap song sounded the same and rappers actually wrote intelligent songs with a meaning. 10/10

Stan is one of the greatest hip hop songs of all time.
Great sample, great simple bass line, acoustic guitar, rain, lyrics and delivery. It's perfect because the musical elements are terrific but they are so pedestrian and don't detract from the main act which is Marshall's lyrics and delivery. Some of the greatest lyrics ever. The epitome of heartbreak and disturbing.
