Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 2% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 84.2/100, a mean average of 83.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 84.6/100. The standard deviation for this track is 11.6.

We all know what this song is about.. one of Rush's several discreet stoner songs. Really great chorus. Peart is a monster on this one.
Do we really need a song about traveling the world specifically to sample various drugs? There are so many better reasons to hit the road; if you want to check out the goodies along the way when you're out for some other reason, that's one thing, but to devote a whole trip to this is silly. But the song's not a total waste--it is Rush after all, so there is always that great musicianship.
Brilliant musicianship elevates a mediocre song. As they will do more often in the future.
I've heard better Rush.
