Another excellent ballad, although not quite up to the level of 'Til the Next Time We Say Goodbye.
Like the, 'till the next goodbye, this is another big ballad. And like that other track it's also rather lovely. The Stones sound confident here, relaxed, going with the flow, where as on the rockier material they sound like they're trying too hard. If you really want to be my friend is one of the album's best tracks, a beautiful song.
