Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 91.1/100, a mean average of 89.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 91.4/100. The standard deviation for this track is 16.7.

This is a creepy song.

A solid track and a classic.

With a opening beat based on reggae and heavily influenced by Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here, the Eagles created one of the classic rock songs. Opinion seems divided, this song could be heaven or it could be hell. For me it's one of the greatest songs with one of the greatest guitar outros. I have always loved the slightly disturbing lyrics. The thirteenth most iconic song ever (according to research, see my chart of most iconic songs).

Masterpiece!

This track is a solid 10/10. Probably my favourite song of all time. From the first sencond 'till the end everything just sounds so right. You instantly imagine yourself on a dark desert highway.
There are people who dislike this song? wat. I thought it was pretty well accepted that the guitar solo at the end is one of the best ever.

The extended guitar solo at the end turns the song from merely being a good rock song to something else entirely - a masterpiece. And as someone who went to school in California, it's true that you never really leave even if you do :-).
Classic

One of the few long guitar solos that I don't hate
