This is the equivalent of a montage episode on a television show after a season or two has gone by. It also reminds me of some of the banter-based interludes on records like 36 Chambers (released some 30 years after this album).

I think this is actually quite brilliant - if you consider that the album format was really only just establishing itself at this point, here you have humorous dialogue spliced with music and overdubs to create an entertaining and, dare I say, banterous story, years before anyone thought to put anything other than 3 minute pop songs on a record
