Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 3% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 82.4/100, a mean average of 81.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 82.6/100. The standard deviation for this track is 13.9.

Bruce continues the punk influence here and it’s just a blistering track
It’s a song where suitors trade gifts for Candy’s affection. The artist Karon Bihari, whom Springsteen briefly dated in the 1970s, claimed the song was about her.
Love the piano intro which leads to a blistering drum and guitar lead main part of the track. I was trying to come up with a phrase to describe the energy on this track and then I read someone describe it as "physically urgent". Perfect!
It a great live track as well and I’ve heard The Boss play this a couple of time live. So visceral. (Edited)
Great rapid-fire drumming, nice piano, and one of the Boss's all-time best guitar solos. I'm not as wild about the main melody, but the little intricacies are still enough for this song to warrant a high rating.
Underrated, one of his very best
