Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 1% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 81.4/100, a mean average of 80.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 81.8/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.1.

Decent
very good collection of Bruce performances
if you want a live Springsteen album , buy this one , it covers most of te bases
Live 1975-1985 is a fantastic live document. Bruce Springsteen is off course one of the great live performers and this a wonderful box of delights for boss fans. Over three discs(5LP's), this is a spectacular rock'n'roll journey kicking off with the beautiful acoustic piano version of thunder road, to the finale of springsteen's excellent cover of the Tom Waits classic, Jersey girl. In between there's great versions of, spirit in the night, growin'up, Johnny 99, and, racing in the street. Live 75-85, is the only place to hear, seeds, and springsteen's passionate reading of, war. The acoustic part of the album is a joy, and the version of, no surrender, later on, is lovely. There are some classics missing off course, jungleland, prove it all night, and, Atlantic city, all miss out, but there's so much here you can't really complain. I would love to see a sequel release, following Bruce from the tunnel of love tour to the present day, but I don't expect it to happen. Still, this is great fun.
This 3CD box set documents 10 years of touring and attempts to mimic the length of a typical Bruce show. The first disc is the real gem because it focuses on the 1978 Darkness tour - one of the best tours in history.
This contains outtakes and a lot of revisions that go well beyond a mere live album in the same way a Springsteen concert goes well beyond a rock concert. I love the all acoustic Thunder Road, just for starters.
A very warm sound and great collected songs. He is truly amazing live.
Great biographical collection of the Boss in action. Listen to it, and you'll understand why everyone back in the old days wanted to see him live.
This was an EVENT the day this came out. Still a total pleasure to listen to!
