Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 90.3/100, a mean average of 90.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 91.5/100. The standard deviation for this track is 12.6.

This song hits me in a way no other song does. Whenever I listen to it, I feel like I'm trapped inside a massive storm of pure unbridled anger. The guitars shriek and scream like the winds of a hurricane, the drums pound and thump with the intensity of thunder and lightning, the shouted lyrics are like someone trying to communicate with me over the sound. The track is so powerful that it swallows any other sounds like a blackhole of distortion and fuzz. It rivals alot of shoegaze tracks in terms of loudness levels. The lyrics are incredibly profound, and the line "when I used to go out I'd know everyone I saw, now I go out alone if I go out at all" makes me choke up everytime I hear it. Phenomenal track, 100/100, one of my personalo favorite songs ever.
Don't listen to this album very often but when I do The Rat sticks out like a very, very, sore thumb. Great song.
pure rage
