Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

This track is rated in the top 17% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 78.2/100, a mean average of 78.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 78.4/100. The standard deviation for this track is 15.1.

So powerful, so underrated. The vocals are good, the drumming is phenomenal.

Definitely one of the more underrated tracks from Duke. A really powerful, driving song, musically speaking. The choruses are especially epic, as Collins belts out "He's a maaaaaaaan of our times" over some fabulous drumming and keyboard work. Unfortunately, the vocal mixing on this one might be the worst of the entire album, as you can barely make out what Collins is singing for 90% of the song. But it doesn't matter all that much, as, outside of the choruses, it's clearly the instrumental that takes center stage here. It definitely has a modern pop feel to it, but it has some moments that harken back to the old days (Banks' highlighted keyboard arpeggios in the middle verses sound right out of Foxtrot-era Genesis). If you're looking for single tracks to pick out from Duke, give this under-heralded tune a listen.
