Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 2% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 84.9/100, a mean average of 84.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 85.1/100. The standard deviation for this track is 11.7.

Surprising choice of song for the opening track but wow does it work. The lyrics are concise but tell a complete story of a young guy being given the run around by his unfaithful girlfriend. John's vocals superb as usual - ably supported by really nice acoustic guitar. 2 minutes of pure pleasure.
A lost gem. The first side of this album is really great. Second side mediocre.
Very passionate and somehow mature sounding opener, easily the key track off of a mostly otherwise disastrous LP.
An absolutely blistering track. It really starts the album with a bang. One of the greatest opening tracks on any Beatles album. Fantastic song.

"I nearly died" nearly sounds too melodramatic, but as a whole this track is one of the best openers you could imagine.
Amazing song that somehow has fallen under the radar probably because "Beatles For Sale" is treated with such disdain.

Favourite Beatles album-opener and it might be my favourite lyrics of any song too.

Some really catchy about this one. Lyrics are great too.
