Absolutely one of my favorite songs of all time and I wouldn’t have opened the colorful, nostalgic Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album any other way.
In roughly 10 minutes, Elton and his stellar band take you through a weaving, kaleidoscopic highway of sound and eventually one of the great rockers in his catalog. (Edited)
Great intro put into a cool instrumental and a cool lyrical performance.

A bit strange opener for a single album, but perhaps for a double this is quite okay. With a long instrumental intro, it turns out be a rocker.
