The chorus and background ooo's and ahh's give me chills every time I hear this song. An all time classic.
I used to love this song but since that princess Diana version I find it a really hard listen now. That version was so awful that it has almost completely ruined this song for me. I try to put it out of my mind but every time it starts all I can hear is, 'goodbye English rose'. This reaction, I must admit, is getting better and is not as bad as it used to be, but being one of those people who has to listen to an album from start to finish, I had a real problem listening to this LP for years. Maybe one day I won't think of it at all, but not yet, and so a song I used to love is now almost beyond any listening enjoyment for me. All i can say is thank God it wasn't, bohemian rhasody, like a rolling stone, or, thunder road.
