Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 92.6/100, a mean average of 91.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 93.0/100. The standard deviation for this track is 13.7.

Great track. (Edited)
The twelfth most iconic song ever (according to research, see my chart of most iconic songs https://www.besteveralbums.com/thechart.php?c=62924).
Few songs can evoke a mood as strong as this one. I may have never been to London, but boy do I feel like I have gazed out on a lot of Waterloo Sunsets. (Edited)
Those backing vocals... man... (Edited)
Any all time top 100 song list that does not contain this song is not to be taken seriously.
A perfection. Similar to See Emily Play by Pink Floyd, but even better
Probably Ray Davies' most perfect song. Musically, it's lovely, and lyrically, he beautifully evokes the backdrop to swinging London on this brilliant track. One of the greatest songs of the sixties, and as you guys know, that's saying something. Superb. (Edited)
So beautiful (Edited)
Simply perfect. (Edited)
Simply one of the most beautiful songs ever penned. (Edited)
