Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 88.0/100, a mean average of 87.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 88.3/100. The standard deviation for this track is 13.2.

With it's deceptive acoustic opening this is a phenomenal piece of metal. Tracking from the acoustic into a classic metal anthem. Great song writing and musicianship. After the guitar intro the drums take over and drive this as if your being chased by the devil himself.
I just got done listening to The Black Album and I really liked it, so now I'm listening to this one because it's the most highly rated album by Metallica. I was blown away by this song! That intro is amazing!
One of Metallica's finest moments, and the live performances of this song from this era of the band give me chills.
Probably the best song on this album, one of metal's finest for sure.
Well, this was a LOT better than expected!
Great acoustic intro that drops right into loud and heavy guitars. This is thrash metal at its best.
