Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 86.3/100, a mean average of 85.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 86.5/100. The standard deviation for this track is 12.8.

What becomes abundantly clear by this time on Pet Sounds is the musical and lyrical themes have been firmly set. Lyrically, once again it’s about a young man’s discovery about himself.
It’s a pleasant enough track with nice orchestration. Nothing to make it a standout track. Is it memorable, not really but good enough to hold its place on the album and fits into the overall narrative of the album
As a side note, I understand that this is the only track with most instrumental parts performed by the band members themselves. (Edited)
Another sweet track on this great album! (Edited)
Very sweet lyrics but this is probably the worst sounding song on here, which is to say that it still sounds great. (Edited)
This song reached out and took a hold of me the first time I moved away from my home. 800 miles away and I would "...lay there alone and dream..." Like most of Pet Sounds, great lyrics that anyone can relate too even if you didn't "...pack up and split for the city..." Probably my favorite Mike Love vocals and is a very guitar oriented song which as a guitarist I really enjoy! (Edited)
I love the instruments. (Edited)
Simple rhymes. The lyrics are easy to relate to. (Edited)
As great as this song is, it doesn't quite meet its full potential. I think it would work better if it were longer and had a more decisive ending.
