Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

This track is rated in the top 3% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 82.9/100, a mean average of 82.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 83.1/100. The standard deviation for this track is 10.9.

One of the best songs of the 90's. The guitar's interplay with the vocals is absolute perfection.

A great song. I used to love this song. I held it up there with the greats. It could have even been my favourite from this album at some point. Unfortunately I moved on to bigger and better things this album had to offer. That's not to say this song doesn't kick ass though cause it really does. Every time I listen it's like I'm on an adventure.

I thought this was some kind of comeback song from a late 70's or early 80's band when I first heard it. Well played, Weezer.
