Four amazing albums, the rest is mediocre.

One third of their albums are great. One third of their albums are bad. The final third are merely average and unmemorable.
Disagreeing with a previous commenter, I'm a Gen Xer who loves this band.
This band was great for two albums, and then they fell off harder than any other band I can think of

Weezer is an odd band. They created two undeniable masterpieces on their first go then just said, "That's enough of that" the only albums that somewhat resemble the originals are EWBAITE and the white album, the rest seem fairly random as to how they came to be, whether they were trying to make it big on the radio, or just be more experimental I can see why people would be turned off by their constant change in sound, I for one enjoy the journey as I believe they've only made two bad albums (Pacific Daydream and Raditude) but I still would say Weezer is one of the all-time greats
One of the greatest alt-rock bands of the 90s. Everything else is hit or miss but this band was really something back at their peak.

They change a lot, and the last few years show that in the best possible way. After great White Album (which is really good, but shouldn't be their 3rd best wtf) they release Pacific Daydream. Nothing more to say.
Weezer is definitely in my top 10 favorite bands and in my top 5 more so because of nostalgia. The Blue Album is one of the best albums I've heard and got me through middle and high school. Chalk full of hits.
I like Pinkerton, just not nearly as much as others. Green Album, Maladroit, and Make Believe are all pretty good (can't understand all the hate Make Believe gets). Red Album is 50/50 and Raditude and Hurley are tough listens. Everything Will Be Alright in the End was a good return to form, though there weren't great singles from it.
But White Album was outstanding!! Probably my second favorite next to Blue. Have yet to hear Pacific Daydream but I haven't heard good things.
