Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 94.5/100, a mean average of 93.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 94.7/100. The standard deviation for this track is 12.1.

His best song.
Life On Mars? is of the most majestic mixes of lyrics, melody, and arrangement in our plane of existence. I don’t find what I said to be hyperbole either. We are privileged beings to have this song even exist.
The nineteenth most iconic song of all time according to research, https://www.besteveralbums.com/thechart.php?c=62924.
So, is there Life On Mars? If there's one man that could make us believe, it was David Bowie.
i like the tension is mounting by the line the sailors fighting in the dance hall.
Legendary song, Bowie's best IMO.
Simply a Musical MASTERPIECE!!
Obra-prima do gênio! Fantástica! O começo de Ziggy!
Best song of all time? Not many other contenders I can think of. Wish You Were Here, Blackbird (Alterbridge), Bohemian Rhapsody, Stairway to Heaven, Imagine, Hey Jude, A Day in the Life, Satisfaction.......
I'm probably quite a mean scorer, but this is one of the few that gets 100/100. Absolutely superb song with a glorious piano, great lyrics and his vocal delivery is amazing. Heard him delivering it live - even later in his career - and it was still beautifully delivered. An all time classic here and if it is his response to the My Way lyric thing, it is some response
