Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 87.6/100, a mean average of 86.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 87.8/100. The standard deviation for this track is 14.0.

A really nice (ballad) track. Not outstanding and not ground-breaking but I do rather like it. (Edited)
Ahh yes, my favorite song off of Pet Sounds and most likely my favorite Beach Boys track. I heard Pet Sounds at the perfect time in my life where I was in a very introspective mindset, and this song in particular hit me HARD. Lyrically it is a downer of a song, but at the same time it gives me a good feeling or vibe that someone else dealt with the same ideas I did, and it helped me feel less alone in this state of mind! Insanely underappreciated track. Probably Brian's fourth best after God Only Knows, Good Vibrations, and Wouldn't It Be Nice.
Totally agree with Jasonconfused here, the lyrics hit home, but not the most solid musical track on the album. Still pretty good though :) (Edited)
The best song after God Only Knows, in my opinion. The lyrics are very relatable and oddly emotional to a first-time listener that just listened to Surfin' USA. (Edited)
Well said Beach Boys. Well said. Lyrics hit the spot, but musically not doing it for me. (Edited)
Strange how much can I relate to a "pop song" from the 60s.
(That's not me too, to a lesser extent) (Edited)
