Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 86.3/100, a mean average of 86.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 86.8/100. The standard deviation for this track is 13.7.

This track kinda feels like a rough draft of the kind of stuff they would go on to do on Lateralus. This honestly doesn't really do much for me, it kinda just feels aimless, like the track just stumbles around until it ends. Decent song, but once again, just like Lateralus, I think it would've been better to end the album with the title track.

Edit: I just realized someone already said basically the exact same thing I said lol

I have to be honest, I don't really get the hype behind this song. It just feels disjointed and messy. It feels more like a song by Swans than a Tool song, specifically the "prying open my third eye" part and the "in out" part. I think it's weird that they decided to close the album with this as well. I mean, I get it, it's the longest song and its super grandiose and stuff, but I think it would've made more sense to close the album with the title track. It would be especially fitting given all the lyrics about the end of the world.

My favourite song from the album. I love how it starts melodic and progresses towards anxiety.

One giant ebb and flow. Another true embodiment of Tool. It has everything. A killer live song too.

I seriously can't express how bloody brilliant this song is! It is 14 minutes of dark beauty that you don't ever want to end. Consisting of some of Adam Jone's best experimental and dynamic guitar work, this song gets a super kick from it. It gives me shivers and chills every listen and draws me into it's darkness. Absolutely a bewildering masterpiece.

After listening to this 14 minute masterpiece you will definitely be thinking of prying open your third eye.
