Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 91.8/100, a mean average of 91.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 92.3/100. The standard deviation for this track is 13.5.

Maybe my favorite prog song of all time! Though there a couple contenders from Yes and Pink Floyd that are close.
A prog classic. Genesis is not my favourite prog band, but I recognize the quality of this piece which gets better and better while it progresses.
Greatest song oat in my opinion, doesn't get boring throughout the 23 minute run time.
I rescind my prior comment. Supper's Ready is not only Genesis' best song, it's one of the best songs of all time.
The best song ever. Wonderfully complex yet so accessible. Beautifully put together, the composition is exquisite. Many goosebump moments throughout this piece. The ending is profound. Thank you Genesis.
One of the greatest prog rock songs and one of the greatest songs in general
The entire song is too diverse to write about.
The Lover's Leap section is a beautiful arty folk pop song and an actually radio-friendly ballad. It would have been an early hit for them.
A ridiculous trip of a song. Throughout its 23-minute run time, it winds and meanders through all sorts of tempos, tones and time signatures. Not a second of it is uninteresting, although some parts are better than others (the final three minutes, known as "As Sure as Eggs Is Eggs," might be the greatest three minutes of music Genesis ever recorded). As such a long and winding song, it's hard for it to be cohesive, but the fact that it's such a wild musical (and lyrical) journey makes that often-needed cohesiveness rather irrelevant. It's hard to appreciate in just one listen, and it's hard to listen to multiple times in succession (it's 23 goddamn minutes long), but enough listens reveal that this is a truly great work of art. Still, sacrilegious as it may be to say, I don't think Supper's Ready is Genesis' best song, nor even the best on this album (that award goes to Watcher of the Skies). But it's a damn fine piece of music, and if you have the patience for it, it's well with your listen, multiple times over.
The best progressive rock song of all time.
The greatest prog rock song and one of the greatest pieces of music ever created, as far as I'm concerned. The fact that all the band members were only 21-23 at the time of recording is mind boggling. With all other long and epic musical pieces I enjoy, I still need a break from them and spread out my listens so I don't get burnt out. But something about Supper's Ready is addictive. It remains wholly fascinating and moving for every second, and I will sometimes listen to it several times a day and not tire of it! The live performances were insane as well, with Gabriel going through several costume changes and occasionally flying in midair on wires during the last section.
