Just returning to this song as it nears its FIFTEENTH birthday (good lord) to reaffirm its status as one of the greatest pop moments of the 2000s. Triumphant, intrepid, powered by the drama of that massive beat and those gritty guitars. Rihanna's causal, effortless vocals sit steadfast against the tirade that faces the songs protagonists. Equal parts dancefloor filler and chant-along anthem.
1 star alone for those "IT'S RAININ (rainin)"s on the outro.
