One of the 21st century's most charismatic and consistent pop artists thus far. 'Rihanna' is a by-word for 'bangers' - she has yet to drop an album that hasn't been towing earworms that make me want to throw my body round. Effortlessly blending elements of Dancehall, RnB and Hip Hop, she channels everything through her evocative, indelible cultural presence; a bastion for sex-positive self expression. The last 20 years of Pop would be remiss without her presence.

My roommate at uni really loves her so I try and like her albums, but it's honestly just not for me.

Rihanna is unique and I like her music but she is not a true artist (although "Anti" was a step in a more artistic direction) nor does she have an amazing voice. She can barely sing Mariah Carey's "Hero." I guess what bothers me the most about Rihanna are her #1 hits several of which she appears as a guest artist. Surpassing Michael Jackson for #1 hits is not cool and Mariah Carey was the only artist I was okay with surpassing him because she writes and produces her material. She also was the lead artist on each #1 hit she has. I like Rihanna but if it weren't for her uniqueness she wouldn't amount to much.

Rihanna has grown considerably as an artist and even though she makes pop music, her latest album 'Anti' proves that she's got more depth up her sleeve in the future.

Every time I type in "Rihanna" in search box and it shows me "Rihanna (artist)" I'm like "Artist? Nope, that's not the garbage pop singer I'm searching for"

i'm a pop fan, but i'm concious too. For example, i like britney but i know that since circus everything she's done is mainstream non-original music.

so, after the intro, in 2015 when rihanna was releasing four five seconds and bitch better have my money i was REALLY hyped for anti seeing how good her music was getting, the core of her career. but, then she release the full length anti album to prove that she is nothing but a making money machine. she has made a cultural impact, that's undeniable, but i'm tired of her and people are growing tired too.

I really dislike her music,mostly because of her annoying voice. The fact that her songs are just overproduced average pop hits doesn't really help her. Pretty underwhelming as an artist.
