Even though it’s one of the BEA lower rated tracks off Surfer Rosa ‘ Oh My Golly ‘ is actually my favourite. The mix of English and Spanish with a crazy energy just works. When I first heard Surfer Rosa & got to this track my jaw just hit the ground & I knew then I was listening to a very very special record. Surfer Roser sits comfortably in my top 5 all time albums.

The Spanish translation is really interesting and too long to outline here but in summary it is about a sexual encounter on a beach with a girl called Rosa and unfortunately the male character fails to perform :(

This song have a good intro and riff, but I´m sure this is not one of the best
It sounds like a punk band playing mariachi.
