Any dog (remember they are the cousins of wolves, the canine family, and are dangerous if they form a pack!) can kill another living being, whether it be a human or animal, it all depends on the size of the dog, of course. Scorpions are smaller than any human being, but they can kill a man...but that is because their sting contains poison!

You're not listening to what we're saying.

Of course any dog can attack someone, but it's fact that Pit Bulls attack more people. 57% isn't even an edge, that's a majority. There must be hundreds of different dog breeds, and for one to be responsible for more than half of all fatal attacks can only suggest they are dangerous animals.

It's frankly selfish, I think, to own a Pit Bull and assume that because you're a good owner it won't attack anyone.

I am aware some animals can kill people. Your point is that pitbulls aren't especially aggressive, but their owners are. My point is that if that were true, then all dogs would be similarly aggressive. Yet I've never heard of a Golden Retriever hurt a human, but have heard of many attacks by pitbulls. If pitbulls aren't more aggressive, then why do they attack more?

Any aggressive person who trains a dog to be aggressive will have to be aware that his/her dog can do harm. Golden Retrievers have been known to attack small children in their sleep and even Alsatians, that's because their owners trained to be AGGRESSIVE. To your question on pitbulls up there, I reply like this:
"HUMANS WHO ATTACK PITBULLS MAKE MORE NEWS THAN PITBULLS THAT ATTACK HUMANS"!!!!!....get what I mean?????!

No. There still is an enormous percentage of attacks on humans done ONLY by pitbulls, which you refuse to acknowledge.

Seriously dude, you should learn to admit that you're wrong. That attitude will only make you seem boring and childish. 57% of dog attacks are caused by pitbulls. Isn't that enough? There's no problems in admitting that pitbulls are aggressive dogs. Chill out.

Skuze my ignorance, but it's the 1st time I've heard of Pitbull the rapper, hehehehheehhehehhhehe.....you can only respect pooches if you have owned one for over 17 years like I have. Pitbills are notoriously considered as being aggressive, but that's only human nature transpiring thru human training of the dogs in question....I blame the HUMANS, NOT the dogs. A pincher once saved my niece from being run over by a car...and got killed for doing it....if that is NOT priority for human life, what is????

Also:

A 9-year (1979โ€“88) review of fatal dog attacks in the United States determined that, of the 101 attacks in which breed was recorded, pit bulls were implicated in 42 of those attacks (42%).[26] A 1991 study found that 94% of attacks on children by pit bulls were unprovoked, compared to 43% for other breeds.[27] A 5-year (1989โ€“94) review of fatal dog attacks in the U.S. determined that pit bulls and pit bull mixed breeds were implicated in 24 (29%) of the 84 deaths in which breed was recorded.[28]
A 15-year (1991โ€“2005) review of dog attack fatalities investigated by the Kentucky Medical Examiner determined that pit bulls were implicated in 5 of the 11 fatal attacks (45%).[29] Another 15-year (1994โ€“2009) review of patients admitted to a Level I Trauma Center with dog bites determined that pit bulls were most often involved in these attacks: of the 228 patients treated, the breed of dog was recorded in 82 attacks, and of these, 29 (35%) of the attacks were by pit bulls (all other dogs combined accounted for the remaining 65% of attacks).[30] In 45% of the attacks, the dog belonged to the victim's family.
