Since I am part of the Splitting Sounds Records label, I thought it was only fitting to display something from the experimental/ambient/noise collection on the website.
from bandcamp;"The Italian native now living in Canada is better known for his experimental electronic sounds and deeper moodscapes.
Stepping into the first year of release *Benjamin Construct aka Joey Guarascio has strung along a series of audio recordings from processed field recordings to experimental sound design and expression.
“Sometimes dismal but sedating, these pieces represent the spaces between the organic and non-organic world we live in.” "
I found this to be a great debut from Benjamin Construct. Support him and others on SSR to continue to create unique noise.

Just bumping this so it doesn't get buried. I'll listen to it in the afternoon.

Haven't listened yet, but this is already getting buried. Bump bump. I've just dl'd it and will listen later. Some dark ambient drone might be just what I need after a night of writing about education policies. Will report back on my findings. If I don't like it, I'm holding you personally responsible for every mistake I've ever made. No pressure.

I liked it. It didn't blow me away, but it was enjoyable enough. Could've used with just the slightest bit more variety, but that didn't take away from it too much. Still, a good listen overall, made studying easier. "Dark Night Of The Soul" might be my favorite, so relaxing and beautiful. _________________ 2023 Chart

One or two bits were forgettable (first song, creeping normalcy) , but when it was good it was really good. I thought the way the high pitched sort of clicking rhythm on Flatlander worked with the droning ambience was cool, made me imagine the lights on the cover ominously flickering. Your Mind is Water should be a longer track.

Yeah I finally got around to listening to this today, but not sure I have much to say about it. It's a nice album, unlike yourself I actually liked what he tried to do on Creeping Normalcy, but yeah there were a few moments that I thought were quite "sterile" and forgettable. Still, a nice choice overall...
