Yes and I contributed to that string. But I see a difference between a ranking/rating and recognition. An album may have a high, low, or no ranking on a chart but still be deserving of greater recognition. Perhaps it deserves a higher ranking/rating and greater commercial success too.
Furthermore I wanted to suggest that this site actually consider a separately rated chart of Albums Deserving Greater Recognition. Perhaps it would be limited to albums not appearing in the top 100 or 200 of the overall chart. _________________ Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by RFNAPLES

Two that come to mind that I dearly love, but are often overlooked:
- Peter Gabriel's fourth album (called Security in the US): dense, layered, stunning lyrics and melodies, great textures, very innovative use of synthesizer sampling, clever and integrated use of African tribal percussion
- The Blue Nile - Hats: wonderfully moody and atmospheric. Hi-fi stuff too.

Big Star - #1 Record
Listening to it now and it seems to me as tuneful and heartfelt as any other esteemed guitar/pop record. _________________ no fat chicks
