Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 86.4/100, a mean average of 86.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 86.7/100. The standard deviation for this track is 10.9.

I find this a hard track to define and I love it. Very experimental heading into discordant jazz piano as the centre piece of the song. I’ve heard the piano piece described as being a kin to Cecil Taylor, which I completely get.
It’s a very dramatic piece of work throughout. I wish that I could write more but I find it very hard to quantity the track, which is a good thing. Maybe it defines description. Maybe others on here can do better
The crazy piano reminds me of "Cat Food" by King Crimson.
Mike Garson's piano is the highlight. But the whole track is good. Jazzy with a nice vocal from Bowie. The first of 3 outstanding songs on Aladdin Sane.
One of Bowie's most devastatingly beautiful ballads. The vocals, lyrics, and piano work very clearly stand out as some of the best moments in Bowie's catalog.
i love the piano solo of this song
The piano is in incredibly good! It makes the song.
A good song but the piano solo drives me up the wall. Aside from that, it's fine, it's just that annoying and irritating tinkling of the ivories kind of spoils it for me.
Reminds me a bit of the "Outside" album the same way it's also plastered with this crazy avant-garde piano playing.
